Calling for entries: Capitolbeat’s 2009 statehouse reporting contests
Capitolbeat, the nation’s only professional association of state Capitol reporters and editors, again seeks to honor the best journalism devoted to coverage of state government and issues.
And for those who pursue the coveted Cappies this year, we’re offering a hand.
Capitolbeat has reduced the entry fee for its main reporting contest by one-fourth for members, to $30. We’ve also knocked down the fee for non-members, to $75.
Capitolbeat’s college reporting contest also returns this year. For first-place winners, Capitolbeat will waive or refund the registration fee for this year’s conference at Indianapolis, where the 2009 Cappies will be handed out.
So get those entries ready now! The deadline for the main reporting contest is May 8. For more information about the main reporting contest, click here.
